Graveyard Fields Trail is a loop trail starting
from the path at the right side of the parking
area. The trail descends to Second Falls; a
spur trail takes you to Yellowstone Falls; you
hike to Upper Falls then return to the parking
area, arriving on a path at the left side of the
parking lot.
The area got its name after a devastating fire in
1925 that burned the timber and left stumps.  The
stumps resemble tombstones in a cemetery.
